Superman

I'm in love with Superman since childhood. superhero character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. he born on Krypton and raised on Earth, Superman is a being of immense power, strength and invulnerability who after realizing his destiny to serve mankind uses his powers to protect and save others. he live in Smallville and move to Metropolis when he grow up, as a means to protect his identity, he works as mild mannered reporter Clark Kent at The Daily Planet.

Superman's abilities include: X-ray and heat vision, vast strength, speed and invulnerability, super intelligence and flight. Lex Luthor is evil criminal genius and Superman's arch nemesis. Armed with vast resources and scientific brilliance, Luthor's contempt for mankind is only surpassed by his hatred for Superman. Luthor strikes a bargain with the three Kryptonian criminals in an effort to destroy Superman.

do you know that Superman had 6 movie?. if you don't know let's see what i've got.

1. Superman and the Mole Men is a 1951 black and white film starring George Reeves as Superman and Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane. It was the first theatrical feature film based on the Superman characters

the fact (maybe) you don't know:
  • The central image of Reeves and Coates, on the poster shown here, is a painting derived from flipping a publicity photo of the two, with the "S" shield flipped back in order to read correctly. The photo depicts the final scene, shown in the screen capture at right.
  • Some elements were trimmed from the film when it was converted into "The Unknown People", including some portions of a lengthy chase scene, and all references to the term "Mole Men".
  • The theme music used for this film had a generic "sci-fi sound", with nothing suggesting a specific "Superman theme". The title cards were similarly generic, with low-grade animation of Saturn-like ringed planets and comets sailing by.
  • The score was also changed when the film was re-cut into its two-part TV episode. The film featured an original score by Darrell Calker (Woody Woodpecker), which was removed and replaced with music from the production music library used for the first television season's presentation.
  • The laser weapon shown in the poster, which the Mole Men brought up from their subterranean home in order to defend themselves and retrieve their injured comrade, was a prop constructed from an Electrolux vacuum cleaner.
2. Superman: The Movie (1978) which stars Christopher Reeve as Superman The film was conceived in 1973 by Ilya Salkind. Several directors, most notably Guy Hamilton, and screenwriters were associated with the project before Donner was hired to direct.

Superman is well-known for its large-scale visual effecta sequences, all of which were created before the digital age. The Golden Gate Bridge scale model stood 70 feet long and 20 feet wide. Other miniatures included the Krypton Council Dome and the Hoover Dam. Slow motion was used to simulate the vast amount of water for the Hoover Dam destruction. The Fortress of Solitude was a combination of a full-scale set and matte paintings. Young Clark Kent's long-distance football punt was executed with a wooden football loaded into an air blaster placed in the ground. The Superman costume was to be a much darker blue, but the use of blue screen made it transparent.

*i think Christopher Reeve too cute like a barbie Ken*

3. Superman II is the 1980 sequel to the 1978 superhero film Superman. Christopher Reeve still play as Superman. Supermn II was the only Superman film to be filmed by two directors. For this reason the film is surrounded with controversy since original director Richard Donner had completed, by his estimation, roughly 75% of the movie in 1977 before being taken off the project.

*Lois Lane and Superman*

4. Superman III (1983) that is the third of five films in the Superman film series produced from 1978 to 2006 based upon the long-running DC Comics. The film was less successful than the first two Superman movies, both financially and critically, but was still the fifth highest grossing film of 1983. While harsh criticism focused on the film's comedic and campy tone, Reeve was praised for his much darker performance as the corrupted Superman.

5. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace is a 1987 superhero film, the last of the Superman theatrical movies starring Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel. In this film, Superman battles Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) and his creation, a solar-powered evil clone of Superman called Nuclear Man.

Unlike the previous three movies, which were produced by Alexander and Ilya Salkind, the fourth movie was produced by Golan-Globus's Cannon Films, in association with Warner Bros.

6.Superman Returns (2006)Directed by Bryan Singer, the film stars Brandon Routh as Superman, as well as Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. The film tells the story of the title character returning to Earth after several years of absence. He finds that Lois Lane has moved on with her life and that Lex Luthor is plotting a scheme that will destroy the United States.
Based on 249 reviews collected by Rotten Tomatoes, 77% of the reviewers enjoyed the film,[63] while the 40 critics in its "Top Critics" group gave a 74% approval ratingThe film was successful at the 33rd Saturn Awards, winning Best Fantasy Film, and categories for Direction (Bryan Singer), Best Actor (Brandon Routh), Writing (Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris) and Music (John Ottman)
